Ratnakar Pharma Machinery is situated at 41581 Grant Road, specifically on Barucha Road. This part of Mumbai is always moving. The streets are narrow and getting a delivery truck in here is a nightmare every single time. We make and fix machinery used in the pharmaceutical industry. It’s a lot of stainless steel and precise parts. Our shop is crowded with half-finished frames and crates waiting to be shipped out. We’ve got a couple of old fans that try their best to keep us cool, but it gets pretty hot in the middle of the day. The office is just a corner with a couple of chairs and a filing cabinet that sticks when you try to open the bottom drawer. We aren't a big factory; we are more of a specialized workshop. Most of us have been working with these machines for years, so we know their quirks. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just build the machines that people ask for and try to make sure they don't break down. Grant Road is a tough place to work sometimes because of the congestion, but it’s where we’ve always been. We don't have any polished sales pitches. If someone needs a machine, they come by, we show them what we are working on, and we take it from there. It’s just a straightforward business.
