Ratan Clinic

Ratan Clinic is tucked away in Shop Number 8 at Morar Baug, right on R B Mehta Road in Ghatkopar East. It is a small shop, so things are pretty tight inside. We have been here for a long time, and the neighborhood has changed a lot around us. We see people for all sorts of things, mostly just regular fevers, coughs, or small injuries. The waiting area only has a few stools, so people often stand outside on the sidewalk when it gets crowded in the evenings. It is a simple place. We have a small table for the doctor and a curtain for when we need a bit of privacy for a checkup. The shelves are packed with medicine boxes and old ledgers where we write everything down by hand. There isn’t any fancy computer system here; we just use our notebooks. The traffic on R B Mehta Road is always loud, and you can hear the rickshaws honking all day. It’s just how Ghatkopar is. We know the regular patients who come in for their blood pressure checks every month. It’s more like a community spot than a cold medical office. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look pretty. As long as the place is clean and we can help the people who live nearby, that is enough for us. It’s been our daily routine for years and we just keep at it.
