Rajrani Pan Centre

We have been running Rajrani Pan Centre for a long time now. It is located right in Andheri West at Munjmohda 2. The shop is quite small, just a little corner really, but we keep it as tidy as possible. Most people stop by after their dinner to get a sweet pan or maybe some tobacco. It has become a bit of a habit for the regulars in this neighborhood. My father was the one who started this place and I just took over from him when he got too old to stand all day. The wooden counter is a bit worn out at the edges but it does the job just fine. We get our fresh betel leaves every single morning before the sun gets too hot. I spend a lot of my time wrapping them in wet cloths so they stay crisp. If the leaf is dry, the pan tastes like nothing. We also keep some basic stuff like सुपारी and different mixtures people like. The evenings are usually the busiest time here. People pull up on their scooters and just shout their orders over the noise of the traffic. Andheri is always loud and busy, but this little spot feels like home to us. We don't have any fancy lights or big signs. It is just a simple place where you can get a good pan and maybe chat for a minute about the weather or the news.
