You can find us at B-28 in the Mittal Industrial Estate. This is on the Kurla Andheri Road, specifically in Building No-5. Being near Marol Naka makes it easier for people to give directions. The industrial estate is a huge place with lots of different businesses, so it can be a bit of a maze if you're new. Inside our unit, it's mostly about ceramics. We have crates and boxes stacked up, and there’s usually that faint smell of dust and stone. It’s a workspace, through and through. We spend our time moving stock, checking for cracks, and talking to contractors who need supplies. The lighting isn't always the best, but we have enough lamps to see what we're doing. There is always a lot of loading and unloading going on at the gate. It gets pretty loud with the trucks and the forklifts. We keep a small kettle for making tea during the breaks. Usually, the phone is ringing or someone is shouting a question across the warehouse. It’s not a quiet office job. We wear sturdy shoes because there’s always something heavy nearby. We've been part of this industrial community for some time now. Dealing with tiles and ceramics is a lot of physical work, but it keeps us busy. We just focus on the orders and making sure the inventory is right. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living in this part of Mumbai.
