Sandhurst Road always has that particular city energy, especially around Nawroji Hill Road-1. Our little space is Shop No. 5 inside Jolly Chamber. It's not a huge place, just a simple room where we see people who aren't feeling well. If you walk past the shops, you’ll find us easily enough. The stairs in the building are a bit worn down from years of people walking up and down. We open up early, usually before the sun gets too high and the humidity kicks in. There’s a lot of traffic nearby, so there is a constant hum of engines and horns in the background. We keep things pretty basic inside. There aren't any bright lights or expensive decorations. Just some chairs, a desk, and the medical stuff we need. Sometimes the fan makes a little clicking noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. People from the nearby apartments come in when they need a quick look at a fever or a cough. It’s just how things go here. We know most of the faces that pass by the window. Being in Jolly Chamber feels stable. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a clinic for the local folks who live and work around Sandhurst Road. We spend a lot of time organizing files and making sure things are tidy for the next day. It’s a quiet kind of life inside the shop while the world moves fast outside.
