Rahat Clinic

Our place, Rahat Clinic, is at F/93 on Jasmin Mill Road. It’s right there in Dharavi, tucked away in Kamala Nagar. If you know where Mubarak Hotel is in Mahim, we are just behind it. It can be a little tricky to find the first time because of the narrow roads, but once you see the hotel, you’re basically there. We’ve been operating out of this small space for a good bit of time now. The area is always buzzing with people and the sounds of the mill road. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a simple room with some chairs for waiting and a desk where we sit. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan stays on all day long. We see a lot of people from the local neighborhood who just need a quick checkup or some medicine for a cold. We don't have any fancy computer systems, just a big book where we write down names and what we did. It’s a very local operation. We know the shopkeepers around the Mahim Dharavi Road area pretty well. Sometimes it’s a bit messy with papers on the desk, but we know where everything is. We just focus on the people who come in. It’s a busy life here in Dharavi, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just keep things practical and do the work every day.
