You can find us at 470 Maulana Azad Road. We are very close to the Gol Deval Temple, which is a big landmark around here. This part of the city is always crowded and noisy, but that is just the way it is. Our shop is packed with marble slabs of all kinds. We don't have much space to move around, so we have to be careful when we are shifting the stone. It is a bit of a struggle to get the big trucks in and out of this street because of the traffic, but we’ve been doing it so long we are used to the headache. We aren't some big corporate office with polished floors. The floors here are covered in stone dust most of the time. People walk in from the temple area or the nearby markets and ask to see what we have. We just show them the stacks. Some marble is from here and some comes from further away. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just tell folks how much it costs and when it can be delivered. It is a family-style business, and we know many of the shopkeepers on Maulana Azad Road. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going. The temple bells and the honking cars are just the background music to our day at the shop. We just take it one slab at a time and try to stay out of the way of the temple crowds.
