We’ve been working out of the Khurana Compound for many years now. It’s right on I.B. Patel Road in Goregaon East. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren’t looking for it, but we like it here. Most of our days are spent checking the machines and making sure the oil is being processed right. It’s a bit of a noisy environment with all the equipment running, but we’ve gotten used to it. The compound itself is a bit old, and the walls could probably use some paint, but it serves its purpose. We don’t have a big team of office people. Usually, you’ll just find us on the floor or handling the loading near the gate. Sometimes the traffic on I.B. Patel Road gets really backed up, which makes getting the trucks out a bit of a headache. We don’t go in for fancy meetings or long reports. We just look at the schedule and get the work done. There’s always a layer of dust from the road, and the smell of the oil is pretty much permanent. We know the other folks in the compound and we say hello, but mostly we just stick to our own tasks. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until late. We just focus on the drums and the bottles and making sure they are filled up correctly. That is pretty much our life here in Goregaon.
