Punamya Clinic

Punamya Clinic is tucked away in Mhada Chawl No 237/3253 over in Vikhroli East. We are in Sector 22 B, which is right across from the Municipal School. It is a very local kind of place, and we see a lot of the parents and kids from the school throughout the week. The address says Chandigarh in some of the old records but we are definitely here in the Vikhroli neighborhood of Mumbai. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside the chawl sometimes, but we have managed to make it work for our needs. We have a couple of benches for people to wait on, and the fan stays on all day because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. Living and working in this part of Vikhroli means you know almost everyone on the block. We don’t have a big fancy office or anything like that. It is just a simple room where we help people out. The school kids are always running around outside, so it stays pretty lively. We keep our hours fairly regular, but sometimes we stay a bit late if there is someone who needs help. It is a plain, honest kind of clinic. We don't have any shiny posters or high-tech screens, just the basic stuff we need to get through the day. Most people find us just by walking past the school and seeing the door open.
