Project Manager

I run things as a Project Manager from my place in Hayatabad. It is House 4 on Street 1, right in Sector D 2 of Phase 1. Peshawar can be a busy place, but this part of the city is actually quite nice and calm. I have set up a corner of the house to handle all the project details and communication. It is a very direct way of working. I do not have a big staff or a receptionist. If the phone rings, I am the one who picks it up. Most of the work involves making sure things are moving according to plan and that nobody is wasting money. I spend a lot of time on my computer sending emails and checking updates from various sites. It is practical and saves a lot of time not having to commute to a big office downtown. The neighborhood is friendly and I can hear the kids playing outside while I work on schedules. Sometimes I meet people at the local cafe to discuss business instead of having them come to the house. It is a simple life but the work is important. Managing projects requires a lot of patience and I have learned to deal with delays without getting too stressed out. It is just about taking things one step at a time until the job is done.
