Prem Dies & Moulds

Prem Dies & Moulds is located at unit 21 in the Saraaj Udyog Bhavan. This building is right near Chincholi Phatak in Malad West. Being in a multi-story industrial building means there is always something going on above or below you. You can hear the sounds of other businesses through the walls, but it’s just part of the vibe. Our unit is packed with tools and the big machines we use for the moulds. Space is a bit tight, so we have to be very organized with where we put things. There is a small window that looks out towards the train tracks, and you can hear the local trains passing by every few minutes. It’s a bit of a climb to get up here if the lift is being cranky, which happens more than we’d like. The walls are covered in calendars and old photos from various projects we’ve finished. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the trade. The tea guy comes around twice a day with a kettle, and that’s the highlight of the afternoon. We don't bother with a fancy website or glossy brochures. People usually find us because they know we are here in Malad. It’s a busy, cramped, and productive little corner of the city where we just do our daily work and go home.
