Prathmesh Marble & Granite

Prathmesh Marble & Granite is at Shop No 6 on the airport side of Vile Parle East. We are located in the Dhobi Talao area, right near Saras Star. Our shop is full of big slabs of stone and there is almost always a layer of white dust on everything. That’s just part of the business when you work with marble and granite. We spend our days moving these heavy pieces around and cutting them to the right size for our customers. You can hear the roar of the planes taking off from the airport nearby, but after a while, you don't even notice the sound anymore. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s an open shop where you can see the stone exactly as it is. It’s physical, tiring work but we’ve been doing it for years. Vile Parle is a busy place and we get people dropping in all the time to look at the different patterns in the granite. We just sit out front on our stools when we aren't busy and watch the world go by. We don't have a sales team or any brochures. We just talk to people, show them what we have in stock, and tell them what it costs. It’s an honest, simple way to run a shop. The area around Dhobi Talao is a good spot for us and we’ve become a regular part of the neighborhood.
