Pramod Shah Clinic

Our clinic is over at Flat No 3 in Building B of the Poonam building. It is right on Worli 3rd Main Road, specifically G Ramaiah Road. Most people find us because we are directly opposite the Nehru Planetarium. It’s a good landmark to use when you’re giving directions to a taxi driver. I’ve been working here for a while now and the view of the traffic outside is always the same. Inside, the clinic is pretty simple. We have some chairs for waiting and the doctor’s room is in the back. It’s not a very big space but it works for what we need. Patients from all over Worli come in throughout the day. Some are regular faces we see every month for their checkups. We keep all the records in these big green folders on the shelf. It’s not all fancy and digital like the big hospitals. I spend a lot of time answering the landline and writing down names in the ledger. Sometimes the lift in Building B acts up, so you see people huffing and puffing after taking the stairs. The neighborhood is busy but our little flat stays relatively quiet. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights. Just a small nameplate on the door. It’s a practical place where people come to get looked at and then they go about their day. We just keep things running as best as we can.
