Prabhakar J Shetty

We’re located at 14/5 in Malad East, right in the Nagdevi area across from Sharaf Hall. The business is run under the name Prabhakar J Shetty. It’s an old-school kind of place. We don’t have fancy glass partitions or air conditioning that works perfectly all the time. Our office is filled with files and the smell of old paper. We’ve been here for years, and the neighborhood has changed a lot around us. Sharaf Hall is a good landmark because everyone knows it. We deal with people face-to-face mostly. It’s a lot of talking and writing things down by hand. We aren't very big on using technology for everything. Some things are better done the old way. The street outside is usually full of vendors and traffic. It can be hard to hear yourself think sometimes, but you get used to the noise. We aren't trying to be the biggest business in Malad. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. There’s no mission statement on the wall. We just show up, open the shutters, and start the day. It’s practical and straightforward. If you need something, you just come in and ask. That's how we’ve always operated. We don't see any reason to change it now. We keep the ledger updated by hand every single evening before we lock up the door. It's a routine that works for us and has for a long time.
