Perfect Ceramics

Perfect Ceramics is located over in Borivali West. We are in the Jai Sai Darshan Ram Building, specifically at shop number three. It’s one of those spots in Lalbaug that people just sort of know once they’ve lived here a while. The shop is usually full of heavy boxes and samples of tiles leaned up against the walls. It can get a bit dusty with all the ceramic and stone around, but that’s just part of the trade. I spend most of my day moving things around so people can see the different patterns in the light. Sometimes someone comes in looking for just one specific tile to fix a broken patch in their kitchen, and we spend twenty minutes digging through the back to find it. It's a small space, but we pack a lot into it. We don't have a big fancy showroom with air conditioning and people in suits. It’s just me and maybe a helper, surrounded by stacks of floorings and wall pieces. You get to know the neighbors well when you’ve been in the same building for years. We see the same faces walking past the door every morning. It's a steady life, just talking to folks about their home renovations and making sure we have enough stock on the shelves. Borivali is busy, but once you step inside the shop, it’s just about picking the right color for a floor.
