Our office is inside a residential society, so it feels more like a home than a typical workplace. We have desks set up in a few rooms, and there’s always a tangle of wires and cables running along the floor. Most of our time is spent on computers or talking to people over the phone about technical stuff. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We aren't a giant corporation with hundreds of staff; we are a smaller team just trying to keep up with the daily list of things to do. Sometimes the internet acts up or we have to wait for a technician to show up, which can be frustrating. We try to keep things organized, but when we have several projects going on, the desks get messy with notes and coffee cups. Being across from the university means there is always somewhere to grab a quick snack or tea during breaks. We’ve been in this building for some time and have gotten to know the security guards and the folks living nearby. It’s a practical place to work, even if it’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time. We usually leave the windows open to catch a breeze when the weather is nice.
