Pardeep Pemgirikar

Pardeep Pemgirikar is located over in Dadar East at the address 10 98 100. Dadar is such a central part of Mumbai that there is always a sense of rush. We are right in the middle of it. The space we have is quite compact, which is pretty normal for this part of the city. We have had to be very clever about how we use the room we have. There are shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling to hold all our supplies and records. Most of our day is spent navigating the small space and getting things ready for the people who come to see us. It’s a noisy neighborhood with the trains nearby and the constant flow of people on the sidewalks. We have a small radio that we keep on low volume just to have some background noise that isn't the traffic. Pardeep is usually the first one in and the last one to leave. We don’t have any fancy signage, just the address on the door so people know they’ve found the right spot. The floor is old tile that has been worn down over the years from all the footsteps. We keep a stash of umbrellas by the door because you never know when the rain will start in Mumbai. It’s a simple, honest place of work. We don’t put on any acts; we just do what needs to be done for the business to keep running.
