We are over at number 127 in the Kandivali Industrial Estate. It’s a pretty standard spot for a business like ours. Kandivali West has changed a lot since we first started, but this estate stays mostly the same. There are a lot of us working here between the warehouse and the small office section. We handle machinery for the pharma industry, which means things can get pretty technical and complicated. The floor is usually covered in parts or wooden crates. We have to be careful where we walk. It’s not a place for fancy shoes. The ceiling is high, so it stays a bit cooler than outside, but it also echoes a lot when someone is talking. We spend our days looking at blueprints and talking to suppliers on the phone. There’s always someone typing away at a keyboard or looking for a lost file. It’s a bit of a maze of desks and storage racks. We’ve got a small area in the back where we have our lunch. Usually, someone brings something from home to share with the rest of us. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy things. We just know our machines and where the tools are kept. Most of the people around here have been with us for a long time. We’ve seen the seasons change through the big windows near the loading dock. It’s just a regular workday.
