You’ll find us over at 2-B Kalbadevi in the Chira Bazar area. We are up on the third floor of the building, so you have to walk up a bit to get to us. The stairs are old and the building has that classic Mumbai feel to it. Chira Bazar is a very crowded place, especially with all the hardware and stone shops around. We deal in marbles, and our office is mostly filled with samples and brochures. It’s not a big open warehouse where you can see huge slabs; it’s more of a place where we sit down and talk about what kind of stone you need for your house. We’ve been here for years, and the walls are a bit stained from all the samples we’ve moved around. Sometimes the dust from the marble gets on everything, even our tea cups. We spend a lot of our day on the phone with the yards or talking to people about prices and delivery times. Moving heavy stone in this part of town is a real challenge because of the narrow streets and all the traffic. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights. It’s just an honest office where we do our business. Most of our customers are people from the nearby areas or contractors who know us well. We just try to get the work done and make sure the right marble gets to the right place.
