One Star Enterprises

Masjid Bunder Road is always a mess with the traffic and the carts going by at all hours. Our place, One Star Enterprises, is tucked away near Keshav Raj Layout on Cambridge Road. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know the area well. We have been in this spot for a while now and the building is quite old. The floors creak when you walk around the stockroom. We mostly deal with various goods that come in through the port or by rail. It’s a lot of manual work, moving crates and checking lists by hand. We don’t have much in the way of air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that hum all day long. Sometimes the neighbor's radio is too loud, but we don't mind much because it’s a busy neighborhood and everyone is just trying to do their business. We keep the books on a heavy old desk that’s seen better days. It isn't a place for fancy meetings or anything like that; it’s just where the work happens. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news when things slow down in the afternoon. People stop by to ask for directions quite a bit because of where we are located. We just point them the right way and get back to sorting the orders. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done on Cambridge Road. We don't plan on moving anytime soon because the location works for the deliveries.
