Oculus Dr Smita Mukherjee Eye Clinic

Our clinic is tucked away at 302 Centre Point Premises in Chembur East. Being near Ambedkar Udyan makes it easy for folks to find us. Dr. Smita Mukherjee is usually here most of the day, looking through lenses and checking people's vision. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a big reception staff or anything, just a few of us making sure things run. Chembur is an interesting part of town, always something happening outside the window. We get a lot of older folks who need help with their glasses and some younger kids who probably spend too much time on their phones. The building is one of those older ones, but it’s solid. We’ve got the testing equipment set up in the back room where it’s dark. It gets a bit stuffy when the air conditioning is acting up, but we manage. We try to be quick so people don't have to spend their whole afternoon waiting. It’s nice seeing someone’s face light up when they put on a new pair of glasses and can actually see the signs across the street. We don't do big advertisements. Most people just walk in because they live nearby or a friend told them about us. That’s the way we prefer it. It feels more personal when you know the neighborhood well. It is a quiet life but we enjoy helping people see better and making sure their eyes are okay.
