Our office is in Flat 511 of the Gulmohar Ansal Apartment. It is a residential building in Mumbai, so it does not really feel like a typical corporate workplace. We have been here for a good amount of time now. Working out of an apartment means we have a small kitchen area and it feels a bit more like a home than a sterile office building. Sometimes the neighbors are moving furniture or you hear kids playing in the hallway, but we are used to it by now. We do mostly tech work and data stuff on our computers all day. It gets pretty cramped when everyone is in at the same time because the living room area is where the main desks are. We don't have a big sign outside, just the name Node Infotech on the door. Getting here can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes in these older Mumbai blocks. We usually order lunch from the small shops nearby or bring tiffins from home. It is a simple setup without any big bells and whistles. We keep the curtains closed mostly to keep the afternoon sun off the monitors. It is just a handful of us trying to keep up with the work we have. We like being in a quiet residential spot instead of a loud commercial hub where everything is too fast.
