Nk Foods Enterprise

We are tucked away on the first floor of 42, 4th Marine Street. Dhobi Talao is a crowded neighborhood, so it’s easy to miss our entrance if you aren’t looking for the number. Nk Foods Enterprise is a small operation. We don’t have a lot of space, so every corner of the room is filled with something—mostly bags of ingredients or empty boxes ready to be filled. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep and narrow, which makes moving stock a real workout every day. It’s a lively area to work in, though. There’s always someone shouting outside or the sound of vehicles trying to squeeze through the street. We focus on food products, mostly stuff that people use every day in their kitchens. We don’t do big TV ads or anything like that. We just talk to the local shopkeepers and deliver what they need. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy on my desk, but I know where everything is. We have a couple of people helping with the packing and the deliveries. We aren't trying to change the world, we just want to make sure the food we send out is decent. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, especially when there’s a big order to get out by Monday. But we enjoy being part of the Dhobi Talao community.
