Nilgiris International

Our office is located at number 408 in the 48 Tenament building on Dayaldas Road. It is over in Vile Parle East, right near the Npkt School. It is a bit of a walk from the station, but it is a decent neighborhood to work in. We deal with various international goods and shipments, which means our schedule is often tied to different time zones. Sometimes we are here quite late or very early in the morning depending on who we need to call. The office itself is pretty basic. We have a few computers, a lot of filing cabinets, and a table for meetings that usually has half-empty tea cups on it. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a small team of us trying to manage the logistics and the paperwork that comes with moving goods around. Every day brings a different set of small problems to solve, like a delayed container or a missing document from a supplier. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing out emails. The school nearby means it gets noisy in the afternoons when the kids are heading home, but we have grown used to the sound. We just try to keep things moving steadily and make sure our records are kept in some kind of order. It is a lot of coordination and double-checking everything to make sure no small details are missed during the busy weeks.
