You can find us in Shop 9 of Arunoday Tower. We are right across from the Kokan Nagar bus stop in Bhandup West. It’s a very convenient spot if you are taking the bus, as you just hop off and we are right there. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful with how we use the space. We do eye checkups and basic treatments. There’s a lot of foot traffic from people going to work or heading home. We see a lot of elderly folks who live in the towers nearby. The shop gets a bit hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front glass, but we have a fan that keeps the air moving. It’s a simple operation. We don't have fancy uniforms or a corporate script. We just talk to people like neighbors because that is what they are. Sometimes the noise from the buses idling at the stop makes it hard to hear, so we have to speak up. We spend our time cleaning lenses and writing out notes in the registers. It’s a lot of hand-written stuff, actually. We keep it basic. There is no need for anything complicated when you are just helping people see better. We close up in the evenings when the street starts to quiet down a little bit. It’s just a regular part of the Bhandup street life.
