Natural Odours & Polymers Pvt. Ltd. is located right in the middle of the Government Industrial Estate in Charkop. If you know Kandivli West, you know how crowded it gets with all the trucks and workers moving about. Our unit at 74/B is mostly filled with barrels and bags of materials. It is an industrial space, so don't expect it to be quiet or particularly clean. There is always the sound of machines or someone loading a tempo in the alleyway. We deal with polymers and different scents, so the air inside the building has a very specific smell that stays on your clothes all day. Most of the staff has been with us for a long time, so we all know the routine without having to say much. The humidity in Mumbai doesn't help when we are moving heavy stock around, but we get it done. We started this because there was a need for these materials locally, and we just kept going year after year. It's not a corporate office with glass walls; it's a working plant where people get their hands dirty. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the ledgers and the phone. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate, and everything goes silent for a while. We just use that time to check the inventory or talk about the cricket scores. It's just a regular business doing its part in Charkop.
