National Stone

Our yard and office are located on Manikkar Marg, right on NIBM Road. We are very close to the Maharashtra Kata, which is handy because we have to weigh everything that comes in and out of here. Dealing with stone is a heavy and dusty job, so don’t expect to see us in anything other than work clothes that have seen a lot of use. The ground is covered in stone dust and small chips of rock, and there are always stacks of slabs waiting to be moved. We have a small office building on the site, but it’s really just a place to keep the paperwork dry and use the telephone. It’s usually just one or two of us inside while the rest are out in the yard. The sun can be pretty brutal on Manikkar Marg during the afternoon, so we usually take a long break when the heat is at its worst. NIBM Road is always full of traffic, mostly trucks carrying construction materials, so the noise is constant. We don't have a fancy website or a glossy brochure to show people. Usually, customers just drive up, take a look at what we have in stock, and we figure out the details right there on the spot. It’s honest, physical work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. We’ve been at this location for years, and we’re part of the local landscape now.
