Nanavati Hospital Mumbai

Working at Nanavati Hospital Mumbai on SV Road in Vile Parle is a real experience. The street outside is never quiet. You hear the horns and the buses all day long. I’ve been here for a couple of years now, and the pace just doesn't slow down. We get people coming from all over Mumbai because they know the name. The building is large, and I still get turned around in the basement sometimes. We have a lot of nurses and ward boys running around, especially during the shift changes in the afternoon. It gets hot in the summer, and the air conditioning is a blessing when you first walk in from the street. I usually handle some of the paperwork and help people find where they need to go. You see all sorts of life here, the happy moments when a baby is born and the tough times too. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just show up, put on our uniforms, and do the tasks that need doing. There’s a little shop nearby where we get snacks during the break. The tea there is very sweet, just how I like it. By the time I head home, the lights on SV Road are all bright and the evening rush is in full swing. It’s a long day, but it feels good to be part of something real. The floors are shiny but the work is definitely gritty and keeps us on our feet.
