Being located on the first floor of the Parel Bus Depot premises makes us easy to spot, even if the area is always loud and crowded. Prabhadevi is a busy part of Mumbai, and Gokhale Road South is constantly packed with traffic. Our clinic handles kidney issues and dialysis treatments, which is a very specific type of work. Since patients have to come in several times a week, we see the same people over and over. It becomes a bit of a routine for everyone involved. The dialysis machines run pretty much all day long. There is always a low hum in the background from the street noise and the equipment. We don't have a lot of extra space because Mumbai buildings are always a bit tight, so every corner of the clinic is used for something. Our staff knows exactly how each patient likes things, like where they prefer to sit during their session. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we just keep our heads down and do what’s needed. You won't find any flashy posters or big marketing speeches here. It’s just a medical unit helping people manage their health. We open the doors early and often stay until the sun goes down and the last patient is finished. That is just how life goes here at the bus depot clinic.
