Mewar Marbles

Mewar Marbles is located in Kurla West, right opposite the Sion Railway Yard. If you are looking for us, we are tucked behind the Maharashtra Weight Bridge. It is a very industrial area and there is always a lot of movement with the trains and the heavy trucks coming to the weight bridge. We deal with big slabs of stone and marble, so the yard is usually covered in white dust. It’s not the cleanest place to work but that is just the nature of the marble business. We have been in this spot for years. The location is good because it is easy for the big lorries to get in and out, even if the roads are a bit rough. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of our stock is just leaned up against the walls outside or under the tin roof. When people come by, they usually just walk through the yard to see what we have. It’s a simple operation run by a few of us. We spend our days measuring slabs and loading them up for delivery. It gets very loud when the trains go by or when we are cutting stone, so we don't do much talking. We just focus on the heavy lifting and getting things moved out to where they need to go.
