Mewar Marbles

Mewar Marbles has its shop at E-11, 3/4, along the Sion Bandra Link Road. We are in Mukund Nagar, which stays crowded from morning until late at night. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite Pila Bungla, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone who isn't from the Sion-Dharavi area. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a lot of stone slabs leaning against the walls. We have granite, marble, and some other bits and pieces. Dealing with the dust is a full-time job here because of the traffic on the link road, but we do our best. I usually sit near the front and watch the people go by while waiting for someone to come in and look at the stock. We get all sorts of customers, from contractors who know exactly what they want to homeowners who are a bit overwhelmed by all the choices. We don't have a script or a sales pitch. We just tell people what we have and what it costs. Sometimes we haggle a bit, that’s just how it is. The space is tight, and we have to be careful when moving the slabs so nothing cracks. It’s a lot of manual labor and sweating under the fan, but it’s the life we know. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors all know us and stop by to talk.
