Metro Marble

The yard for Metro Marble is right in Patel Compound, which is pretty much directly across from Nirmal Life Style. If you know the Mulund Goregaon Link Road, you know how busy it gets with all the cars and trucks moving between Bhandup and Mulund. We’ve been operating out of this spot in Sonapur for a long time. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but it works for what we do. We have all sorts of marble slabs leaning against the walls. Some are white, some have veins, and they all weigh a ton. We spend a lot of time moving things around with the crane or just by hand when we have to. It’s not a quiet job. The noise from the Link Road is always there in the background. People usually find us because they’re headed to the mall and see our sign. We keep things pretty simple. There isn’t a fancy office here, just a desk and a few chairs where we sit and talk to whoever walks in. Bhandup West is a gritty place in some parts, and our yard is part of that. We try to keep the marble clean, but the road dust is a constant battle. We just do our work and try to get the pieces cut right. It’s a living, and we’ve been doing it long enough to know the rhythms of the street. It’s just how things go here.
