Mehta Eye Clinic

Mehta Eye Clinic is tucked inside the Potia Industrial Estate over in Darukhana. It’s an old part of the city, and the estate itself has seen better days, but we’ve stayed here because it’s where we are needed. The 400010 area is very industrial, lots of scrap yards and heavy work going on. Because of that, we often get people coming in with dust or metal bits in their eyes. It’s a humble clinic. We don’t have a big reception staff or a fancy coffee machine. Usually, it’s just one of us greeting you when you walk in. The walls are a bit plain, and the furniture is old, but it’s sturdy. We’ve been looking after the eyes of local workers and families for a long time now. We aren't interested in being a high-end boutique. We just want to make sure people can see the work they’re doing. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate, and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in Darukhana. We keep our instruments clean and our eyes on the patient. It’s a simple business. People know us by word of mouth mostly. If you’re navigating the trucks and the narrow lanes of the estate, you’ll eventually find our door. We’ll be there, likely busy with a patient or cleaning the lenses for the next eye exam.
