Meeta Foods

Meeta Foods is our little place on the Goregaon West Main Road. The exact address is 20/168, M G Road, over in Unnat Nagar P. We spend most of our time in the back where the cooking happens. It’s a busy spot because M G Road always has people walking by and cars honking. We didn't start this to become a big company. We just started making food because that’s what we knew how to do. The shop is small and it can get quite hot in the afternoons when all the stoves are running. We have a few people helping us out, most of them have been with us for a long time. We get our ingredients from the local vendors nearby. It’s a lot of work to keep everything going every day. We don't have a big sign or any flashy lights outside. People just know we are here because of the smell of the food. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s a very hands-on business. We don't use any corporate language or have a big strategy. We just wake up, prep the food, and sell it to whoever comes in. It’s a simple way of living. We’ve seen many shops come and go in Goregaon, but we are still here doing our thing at this same location. The work never really stops from morning until night.
