Meenaxi Marble & Granite

Meenaxi Marble & Granite sits right on Highway Road No 8 in Dahisar. We are tucked in between a few different spots, right across from Vardhman Industries and the Gujarat Hotel, and very close to the Rawal Pada bus stop. Because we are on the highway, there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the buses and trucks rumbling past all day long. Our yard is filled with slabs of stone that we keep out in the open. Working here means dealing with the Mumbai weather, whether it’s the heavy rain or the intense sun hitting the granite. We don’t have a fancy storefront with glass windows. It is just a yard where we keep our inventory and a small corner where we handle the paperwork. Most of our day is spent talking to customers who pull over because they saw the marble from the road or checking on the guys who are help us move the heavy pieces. It’s a bit of a struggle to keep the dust down with the highway traffic so close, but we do our best. We’ve been part of this Dahisar stretch for a while, and we’ve seen the area change around us. It’s a straightforward business and we don’t use any marketing tricks. We just show people the stone we have and tell them how much it costs. It’s honest work on a very busy road.
