Mayur Marbles

We are right by the airport side in Vile Parle East. The planes go over quite often and it gets loud sometimes. This marble market on the highway is always busy with trucks and people looking for materials. Our spot here is filled with different types of marble. We do not really do anything flashy. It is mostly just moving heavy stones from one side of the shop to the other. Sometimes the dust gets on everything if the wind blows from the highway. We keep a few chairs for people to sit while we look for a specific piece they saw last week. Being in Vile Parle means we see a lot of local folks building houses nearby. The traffic outside can be a real headache in the evenings. We usually start early before the sun gets too strong. There are lots of other shops nearby so it is a competitive place but everyone mostly minds their own business. We have been in this highway marble market for a good while now. We know which slabs have small cracks and which ones are clear. We just show the stone as it is. No point in hiding anything because the customer will see it anyway when it gets polished. It is a long day standing on the concrete floors but we are used to it. We keep things simple and just focus on the work in front of us.
