Vipul Stationery

Vipul Stationery is over at No. 38 Yusuf Meher Ali Road in Masjid Bunder. The address is a bit long because it sits right on the Masjid Bunder Station Road, and everyone around here just calls it the Station Road anyway. It is always crowded and noisy outside. We’ve got stacks of paper, notebooks, and pens reaching almost to the ceiling. It’s a small shop, but we try to keep everything organized, even if it doesn't always look that way to a stranger. The street outside is a constant stream of people coming from the station, and we get a lot of them popping in for a quick pen or a ledger. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we have a couple of old fans that make a lot of noise but don't do much else. We’ve been at this spot for years and we know all the other shopkeepers on Yusuf Meher Ali Road. We don't have a computer system for our stock; we just know where everything is by memory. If someone asks for a specific type of envelope, we usually know exactly which pile it is under. It’s a busy life, and we’re on our feet most of the day. We don't have any big plans to expand or move. We just like being here near the station where everything is happening. It’s just a regular stationery shop for regular people. We open the shutters early and we don't leave until late.
