Maruti Marble

We’ve been here at Maruti Marble in Bhandup West for a long time now. The shop is right near the Canera Bank, so it’s easy to find if you know the area. It gets quite dusty here with all the stone around, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with marble. Most days, someone is here to show people the different slabs we have stacked up against the walls. We keep various types of stone, mostly for floors and kitchen tops. Sometimes the delivery trucks take a while to get through the traffic around Bhandup, especially in the evenings when things get busy. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we help people figure out what they need for their houses. We spend a lot of time measuring things and talking to contractors who come in looking for specific sizes. The floor is usually covered in some kind of white powder from the cutting, so don't wear your best shoes if you visit. We’ve got a small office at the back where we do the billing and take phone calls. It’s a lot of manual work, moving these heavy pieces around, but we are used to it by now. People from around the neighborhood stop by often just to ask questions or see what’s new in stock. We don’t have a big fancy showroom, just the actual stone where you can see the veins and colors for yourself. It works for us.
