Marble Point

Marble Point is located over in Sewri West. We are in the Gala Compound, specifically Unit No. 1 on Datt Mandir Lane. If you are coming down TJ Road, look for the Beauty House because we are right opposite that. Dealing with stone and marble is heavy work. Our yard is usually full of large slabs of marble and granite leaning against the walls. It gets quite dusty around here, so we are always cleaning up. We have been at this spot for several years now. People come to us when they are renovating their homes or building something new. We aren't designers or anything, we just supply the material. It takes a lot of strength to move these pieces around, even with the machinery we have. The noise from the saws cutting through stone can be quite loud during the day. Sewri is an old industrial part of the city, and it has a very specific feel to it. We know the other guys in the compound well. We often share a cup of tea in the afternoons. Our office is just a small cabin in the corner of the unit where we keep the invoices and records. It is not a polished showroom like you see in magazines. You get to see the raw material exactly as it is. We just try to be fair and get the pieces delivered without any cracks or damage. It is hard work, but we like it.
