Marble India

Marble India is tucked away in Dharavi, specifically along Tulshibaug Lane near the Pila Bunglow landmark. If you know the area, you know it is a maze of small lanes and constant activity. Our place is right in the thick of it, where the air is often filled with a bit of dust and the sound of things being moved around. Pila Bunglow is the best way to find us because the lane can be a bit tricky for someone who is not from around here. We deal with heavy materials, so our space is more of a workshop and storage area than a shiny showroom. The floors are usually covered in a thin layer of stone dust, and we have various slabs leaning against the walls. It is hard work and the days are long, but there is something satisfying about seeing the raw materials stacked up. We do not have a big reception desk or fancy brochures; we just show people what we have available and talk about what needs to be done. The neighbors are all doing their own thing, from leather work to recycling, so there is a real sense of industry all around us. We usually have a pot of tea going for anyone who stops by to chat about a project. It is a rugged environment, but it is where we feel most comfortable. We have been in this spot for years and do not see that changing.
