Maple International

Our office is room number 329 inside Vyapar Bhavan. If you know the Carnac Bunder area, then you know how crowded it gets around here. Being near P D'Mello Road means there is always the constant sound of heavy trucks and horns outside our windows. Masjid East is a busy hub for trading, and we have been a part of it for a bit now. Maple International is basically a few desks, some metal filing cabinets, and a lot of paperwork piled up. It is a bit cramped when we have visitors, but it is where we do our business every day. The stairs in this building are old, and the lift is sometimes temperamental, so we usually just walk up the flights. We deal with international trade stuff, mostly sitting on the phone or checking emails for hours. It is not a glamorous job. There is a lot of tea drinking while waiting for shipments to clear or for news from the port. The guys at the tea stall downstairs know us by name now. We do not have a marketing team or anything like that. It is just us trying to make the numbers work. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the walk from the station a real mess, but that is just part of living in Mumbai. We have stayed in this spot because everything we need is within walking distance. It is practical. We handle the documents and try to keep things moving.
