This place is right in the middle of the New Bombay Market area in Andheri West. Manish Nadkarni operates from here at 09/2A on the second floor. It is a busy spot with lots of people coming and going because of all the shops and offices around. The building itself has seen better days, but it works for what we do. Dealing with things in Andheri means you get used to the noise and the constant crowd outside. Most of the time is spent handling work at the desk or talking to people who drop by the market. It is not some big corporate office with glass walls; it is just a regular room where the work happens. Being in this part of Mumbai means everything is fast, so we try to keep up with whatever comes our way each day. You find the entrance by looking for the 2nd-floor stairs in the 2A block. It can be a bit confusing if you are new to the market, but once you find it, it is pretty straightforward. We have been in this spot for some time now and know the local shopkeepers and the general rhythm of the street. There is always tea being passed around and someone shouting downstairs. It is just a normal working day in a normal Mumbai market. We do not have much to show off, just a place to get the job done and stay busy in a crowded city.
