Maniben Jamnadas Memorial Clinic

Our clinic is tucked into the No. 5 spot in the Dalmia Building. If you know the Gangavihar Hotel on T.H. Kataria Marg in Mahim, then you know exactly where we are located. It’s a busy street with a lot of cars and people moving toward the station or the market. The building itself has that old Mahim feel to it, a bit worn but sturdy enough for our daily work. We call ourselves the Maniben Jamnadas Memorial Clinic. Most of the people who come in are locals living right here in the nearby lanes. We deal with regular health stuff every day. It’s not a place with shiny floors or big advertisements. We just have our rooms, some chairs for people to sit on, and the usual medical equipment you’d expect to see. The smell of the hotel food sometimes drifts over in the afternoon, which is a bit of a distraction during the lunch hour. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors and checking on families who have lived in Mahim for generations. Sometimes the lights flicker when the monsoon rain is heavy, but we manage to keep things running. It’s a simple setup where we just get through the appointments one by one. There is always someone coming in to ask a quick question or get a prescription filled. We don't have a big staff, just enough to keep the doors open and the clinic functioning.
