Mandar Granites

Mandar Granites is located at 8 Mumbai Sainath Math. We are right opposite the Ghanshyam Industrial Estate. It’s a very industrial part of town, so you’ll see a lot of trucks and heavy machinery around us. We have various types of stone and granite slabs sitting in our yard. It gets quite dusty with all the stone cutting and moving, so we’re always sweeping up. Our office is just a small room at the front where we talk to customers and show them samples. We spend a lot of time outside in the sun checking the quality of the slabs that arrive. The industrial estate across the way is always loud, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We handle the heavy lifting ourselves most of the time. It’s physical work and your hands get rough from handling the stone. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and mirrors. You just see the stone as it is, out in the open. People come to us when they are building a house or fixing up a kitchen. We try to be helpful and show them what we have in stock. Sometimes we have to wait for new shipments to come in from the quarries. It’s a slow business sometimes, but we like the tangibility of working with something solid like granite. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us. Usually, you will find someone here by nine in the morning ready to start moving the inventory.
