Sharma Marble

Sharma Marble is situated over at Malwani in Malad West. We are right by Gate No. 6, at No. 34/75. It’s a very local spot, and things can get quite crowded around the gate during the busy hours of the day. Working with marble means there is always a bit of white dust on everything, including our shoes and the desks. We don't mind it much because it’s just part of the job we do. The space we have is mostly for showing the slabs and pieces we have collected over time. It’s not a polished gallery or anything like that; it’s a working yard. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and homeowners who are trying to pick out something that looks decent but fits their budget. We don't use any high-pressure sales tactics here. We just let people look around and answer their questions when they have them. Sometimes the pieces have natural cracks or patterns that people don't expect, so we spend a lot of time explaining how the stone actually is in real life. It’s a long day, usually starting before the sun gets too high and finishing up when the light fades in the evening. We’ve got a small desk tucked in the corner where we do the bills and take calls. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us. We’ve been in Malwani for a good amount of time and we know the neighborhood.
