Maheshwari Stone & Marbles

We are located at Pannalal Compound on L B S Marg, which is part of the Bhandup Industrial Estate. It's near the Western Express Highway and we have our roots in Vile Parle East too. Our yard is usually full of stones and marbles of all different sizes. It’s heavy work, moving these big slabs around without breaking anything. Everything in the office and the yard is covered in a fine layer of white dust. That’s just how it is when you work with stone all day. You get used to the smell of wet rock and the constant sound of the cutters running. We spend our days showing different pieces to people who are building houses or fixing up their kitchens. Some stones have nice patterns in them, while others are just plain and simple. We just tell people what is what. No fancy talk or sales pitches here. The L B S Marg area is always crowded, so getting the delivery trucks in and out can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We’ve been in this compound for years. Most of the other shop owners around here are friends now. We have tea together when things are slow in the afternoon. Dealing with marble is tricky because you really don't want anything to crack. You have to be very careful with the crane. We just do our bit and keep the yard moving.
