Mahadev M Naik

I am Mahadev M Naik. My place is located on the second floor of Om Ganesh Nagar, specifically in Block E, out here in Chembur. It’s a bit of a climb since there’s no lift, but it keeps me fit. I’ve been in this building for quite some time now. Chembur is a nice place to work because it’s got a bit of everything. My office is pretty basic. I have a desk, a couple of cupboards for my files, and a few chairs for visitors. I don't like a lot of clutter, so I try to keep things as tidy as I can, though it doesn't always stay that way. Most of my day is spent answering calls or sorting through documents. I handle a lot of the work myself because I like to know exactly what’s going on. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We take things as they come. Sometimes the neighbors from the other blocks stop by to say hello or share some news from the street. It feels like a small village inside the city. I’ve lived in Mumbai my whole life and I’ve seen it change so much, but this little corner of Chembur feels the same as it always did. I just want to keep doing my work honestly and live a quiet life without too much fuss. When the day is done, I lock up the office and head down the stairs, ready for tomorrow.
