Madhu Marbles

You can find us over at Plot A/198 on Road No. 16 in the Wagle Industrial Estate. Being in an industrial area means it’s always a bit noisy and there’s usually a lot of traffic with trucks coming and going. We’ve been working with marble for a long time now. It’s a tough business because the slabs are so heavy and you have to be careful not to crack them when you’re moving them around. Our yard is usually full of different types of stone. Some have more veins, some are plain, and they all have their own quirks. We don't have a polished sales team or anything like that. When you come here, you talk to the same people who are actually out there looking at the stock. We spend most of our time wearing boots and getting our hands dirty. It’s just the way it is when you work with natural stone. The office is just a small corner where we keep the books and take calls. Sometimes it’s hard to hear over the sounds of the nearby workshops, but we manage. People come to us when they need material for a kitchen or a floor. We show them what we have in the stacks and they pick what they like. No pressure, just showing the stone as it is. It’s a basic, local setup and we like it that way. Just steady work and good stone for the project you have.
