Rolex Shopping Centre is a bit of a landmark near the station in Goregaon East. It's always crowded. Our office is B/15 on Ram Mandir Road. It is quite close to Jawahar Fhatak, so you hear the trains and the station announcements all day long. Dealing with financial services involves a lot of documents. We spend hours filling out forms and making photocopies. The desks are covered in files and pens that sometimes stop working when you need them. Clients come in looking a bit stressed about their money or loans, and we just sit down and go through the numbers with them. It gets hot in the afternoon because the sun hits the front of the shop. We usually order tea from the stall downstairs around four o'clock. It is just a regular office where we try to keep things organized. Sometimes the stapler jams or we run out of printer ink at the worst time. That’s just how it goes when you’re running a small place like this. We aren't doing anything flashy, just the basic work that needs to be done every day. The station road is never quiet, even late in the evening. Most people know us because we’ve been here in Goregaon for a long time now. We just keep at it, one file at a time. I have been sitting in this same chair for years and the cushion is starting to get a bit flat. But it's home for us during the day.
