Our office is inside the Chandra Prabha Building, which is on Nahar Nagar near the Liberty Garden Road extension in Malad West. It’s not a very new building, so the lift is sometimes a bit moody, and most of us just end up taking the stairs to the sixth floor. It’s a decent walk from the main road, but it’s a bit quieter back here away from the heaviest traffic. Inside, we’ve got our desks and computers set up in a way that’s a bit tight but functional. There’s always someone on the phone or typing away. We deal with various things throughout the day, mostly paperwork and coordinating stuff. The windows look out over the rooftops of Malad, and you can see the trees over by the garden if you lean out a bit. We don't have fancy furniture, just the old wooden desks that have been here since we moved in. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just sit there talking until it comes back on. It feels more like a small family than a big company. We’ve got a few files stacked up in the corner that we really need to organize one of these days. It’s just a plain office where we do our work and try to get home before the local trains get too crowded. There is always plenty to do before the weekend.
